The 56th Annual Old Albany Days event will be held this coming weekend at the Albany Museum northwest of Sabetha.
Events are scheduled all weekend, with daily demonstrations in corn shelling and grinding, saw mill, crocheting, rug weaving, threshing, apple cider pressing, soap making, basket weaving, superior oil field engine, metal casting, blacksmithing, dutch oven cooking, quilting, glass blowing and more.
Other events include kids activities, a Tractor Fun Cruise on Friday the 9th at 3 p.m. at the Albany Info Booth with a 6:30 p.m. carry-in dinner after. On Saturday will be an antique tractor pull at 1 p.m. and a garden tractor pull at noon on Sunday. Don’t miss out on the daily parade at 1 p.m. both on Saturday and Sunday. The cook shack will be open both days and a new activity this year is axe throwing.
Other attractions include antique cars, tractors, steam and gas engines, print shop and more as 19 of the museum buildings will be open for the event. There will also be a flea market and craft show and camping is available.
Go to the Albany Museum by taking US 75 Highway north of Sabetha to 192nd Road, then west a half mile to X4 Road then north 1 1/2 miles to 204th Road.+
